Japanese Knotweed can be a problem as it is difficult to eradicate but a lot of the fears and concerns are based on this one big myth.
Japanese Knotweed will exploit cracks or gaps in concrete and walls, just like this perfectly harmless plant growing through the gap between a door and the floor.
As surveyors we need to explain to our clients the risks that invasive species can cause but we need to stop perpetuating myths and nonsense.
